Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating (UFH) is an efficient heating solution where the floor surface is heated, allowing heat to radiate and convect throughout the space, creating a comfortable and consistent thermal environment.

Unlike traditional radiators, which rely on high temperatures to heat a small area, underfloor heating operates at lower temperatures. The heating surface covers a much larger area, distributing heat more evenly and effectively across the room, which makes it a more energy-efficient option.

Underfloor heating can be installed in both new-build properties and as a retrofit solution for existing spaces. It can function as the primary heating source for the entire home, or provide supplemental, localised warmth in specific areas such as bathrooms or kitchens. It can also be paired with renewable heat sources, such as heat pumps.

The systems can be either modular, offering flexibility for easy installation, or custom-designed to suit the specific needs of your space. To minimise heat loss, underfloor heating systems typically include insulation beneath the heating source.

A traditional gas boiler can run underfloor heating, as well as an Air Source Heat Pump.
